On August 25, 2024, St. Theresa of Calcutta Church in Rajiv Nagar joyously celebrated the annual feast of Mother Teresa, our beloved patroness. The event was marked by a special Holy Eucharist, which began at 5 pm and was presided over by Archbishop Bernard Moras, the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Mysore.
The celebration drew a large gathering of over 1,300 parishioners, who came together in a spirit of faith and devotion. More than 15 priests joined Archbishop Moras in the celebration of the feast mass, making it a truly memorable and spiritually uplifting experience for all who attended.
The Holy Eucharist was a profound expression of our community’s love and reverence for Mother Teresa, whose life of service and compassion continues to inspire us all. Following the mass, a beautiful procession took place, allowing everyone to reflect on the values of love, humility, and charity that Mother Teresa embodied.
After the procession, a festive dinner was served, providing a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and celebration. It was a joyful occasion where parishioners could connect, share stories, and strengthen the bonds of our community.
We are deeply grateful to Archbishop Bernard Moras, the priests, volunteers, and all who contributed to making this feast day a remarkable celebration of faith and community. Let us continue to live by the example of Mother Teresa, serving with love and compassion in our daily lives.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this blessed event. We look forward to celebrating together again next year!
