Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today, our parish joyfully celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a day that also marks Girl Child Day and the Solemn Closure of the 150th Jubilee Year of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) Congregation.

The celebration began with a solemn procession, as the girls of our parish reverently carried the beautifully adorned cart of Mother Mary. The Holy Eucharistic Celebration was solemnly presided over by Monsignor Alfred Mendonca, Vicar General of the Diocese of Mysore, with several SVD priests concelebrating.

The liturgy was prayerfully organized by the Legion of Mary and the Women’s Cell of our parish. The celebration witnessed the participation of around 500 faithful, who joined together in devotion and thanksgiving.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, a festive dinner was served for all parishioners, fostering a spirit of communion and joy.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother, continue to intercede for us and lead us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.
