Solemn Feast of Mother Teresa of Calcutta – 24th August 2025

The parish of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church, Rajiv Nagar joyfully celebrated the much-awaited Solemn Feast of our Patroness, St. Teresa of Calcutta, on 24th August 2025. The culmination of the three-day Tridum was marked by a vibrant liturgical celebration and a profound expression of faith and unity by the parish community.

The Holy Eucharist was solemnly presided over by Rev. Fr. Edward Saldanha, Secretary of MDES, Mysore, as the main celebrant. The celebration was enriched by the presence of a large number of priests — SVD Priests Jesuit Priests, and Diocesan Priests — who concelebrated the Mass, adding to the beauty and solemnity of the occasion.

The Feast Mass witnessed an overwhelming participation of the faithful, with nearly 800 parishioners and guests gathering to honor our patron saint. With hearts filled with devotion, the community gave thanks to God for the blessings received through the powerful intercession of St. Teresa of Calcutta.

After the Eucharistic celebration, a graceful procession was held. The beautifully decorated cart of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, adorned with flowers and accompanied by the glow of lighted candles, was carried in procession through the parish neighborhood. This moving act of devotion brought the faithful together in prayer and song, shining as a public witness of faith.

The evening concluded with a festive fellowship dinner, shared by all parishioners and guests, further strengthening the bonds of community and celebrating the joy of the feast.

The day was a true testimony of God’s blessings, the unity of the parish family, and the inspiring legacy of St. Teresa of Calcutta, who continues to guide us in living lives of love, service, and compassion.
